UniMatch is operated by APPAXIS INNOVATIONS (“UniMatch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your information when you use the UniMatch mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using UniMatch, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

UniMatch is intended only for users who are:

  • at least 18 years old, and
  • eligible to use the Services under applicable law, and
  • students or verified members of supported higher-education institutions, where required by the platform.

We do not knowingly allow minors to use UniMatch. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we may suspend or delete the account and associated data.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically from your device and use of the Services, and information necessary to maintain safety and platform integrity.

A. Information You Provide to Us

Depending on how you use UniMatch, we may collect:

  • your name or display name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • date of birth or age confirmation
  • gender and profile preferences, if you choose to provide them
  • university, campus, field of study, academic status, and related student profile details
  • verification information used to confirm student status or account authenticity
  • profile information, such as biography, interests, prompts, photos, videos, and other content you upload
  • communications you send through the Services, including messages, reports, appeals, and support requests
  • any other information you submit to us voluntarily

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use UniMatch, we may automatically collect:

  • device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and unique device or app identifiers
  • log data, IP address, approximate region, crash reports, diagnostics, and performance information
  • usage data, such as features used, interactions, preferences, session activity, and engagement events

C. Location Information

If you enable location permissions, we may collect approximate or precise location information to support location-based matching, profile discovery, safety, fraud prevention, and related features.

If you enable background location permissions, UniMatch may also receive location information while the app is not actively open, solely for features you have enabled or for safety, fraud prevention, or service integrity purposes.

If you do not grant location permission, some features may be limited.

  • reports submitted by users
  • block lists and safety flags
  • records of moderation actions

4. Information Visible to Other Users

Because UniMatch is a social and dating platform, some information is meant to be visible to other users depending on your settings and how the service works.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

A. With Other Users

We share the information that is part of your profile or communications as necessary for the social and matching features of UniMatch.

B. With Service Providers

We may share information with vendors and service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting providers, cloud services, analytics providers, customer support tools, communication tools, trust and safety partners, and technical infrastructure providers. These parties may access information only as needed to perform services for us and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

C. For Safety, Legal, and Compliance Reasons

We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or lawful request
  • investigate, prevent, or address suspected fraud, abuse, harassment, illegal activity, or security incidents

7. Moderation, Reporting, and Blocking

UniMatch provides tools that allow users to report inappropriate content or behavior and block other users.

  • take appropriate action, including warnings, content removal, temporary restrictions, account suspension, or permanent account termination

  • we retain account and profile data while your account remains active

You may update certain profile information in the app.

You may request deletion of your account by using the in-app deletion function or by contacting us at support@uni-match.net.

When you request deletion:

  • your profile will be removed from active visibility, subject to system processing
  • some information may be retained temporarily or as required by law
  • backup copies may persist for a limited period before being securely overwritten or deleted
  • content already shared with others may remain available to those users, where applicable

You may also:

  • opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe option or contacting us
  • manage device permissions through your mobile operating system settings
  • disable location access at any time from your device settings

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • request deletion of your personal information
  • object to or restrict certain processing
